Hey friends! Welcome back!
I wanted to showcase an adorable Disney treat for you this week that we actually make ALL THE TIME. We love the Mickey rice Krispy treats from the parks and Downtown Disney but it’s not like we go daily so we found a cheaper alternative to do it at home!
This took a total of $4 for us to make and we were able to make as much as we wanted!
First, the items you will need are: marshmallows, butter, rice Krispy cereal, pan, icing spoon thing and whatever mold you’d like - we obviously chose Mickey shaped. You’ll also need wax paper or baking paper and a flat pan.
Then, you want to put butter on the pan and the bowl that you’ll be mixing the food in. We chose vegan butter from Winco!
Then, put as many marshmallows as you’d like into the pan and cook until it liquifies but pour it out before it starts to turn brown. If it turns brown, it’ll crystalize and get hard so try to avoid it.
After it’s liquified - it’ll have some soft chunks. Pour into bowl with rice Krispy cereal and start mixing! You can totally use your hands but it gets so sticky so it’s easier to use the icing spoon thing because it doesn’t stick to it as much.
Once it’s all been mixed, take out all of the Rice Krispy from the bowl and flatten onto the wax/baking paper on the flat pan and flatten the rice Krispy out.
Start pushing the mold into the rice Krispy sheet and WALLAH! DONE!
Enjoy! I hope this was super easy to follow and yummy to eat! I will be editing a quick youtube video as well for my peeps who don’t want to read haha!
Love you guys!
Alex xoxo
