Hey friends, welcome back!
This is going to be a funny blog post considering the reasoning behind why I will not ride these rides! They are solely MY opinion. If you know me, you KNOW I really will NOT ride these rides. I just can’t. haha. These rides also include Disney California Adventure.
Real quick: After having kids, my entire body changed and one of the things that changed is my stomach! I don’t even know why, I can’t ride these rides without feeling sick or queasy. Am I the only one that this happened too?! I also get very claustrophobic so yeah. Let’s get the list started!
11 Rides I will NOT Ride at Disneyland or California Adventure are:
Space Mountain - The older I’ve gotten, my stomach can’t handle how much it spins in the dark! It’s also a very constricting space to sit in and I just can’t. haha It’s always very hot as well and it’s one of those rides I just don’t see myself riding often or at all.
Star Tours - I’ve ridden this once in my entire life with my parents and I was like 5/6 and I absolutely HATED HATED HATED it. There is no way I will ever ride it again. I don’t know if it’s changed from the 90’s but I got very claustrophobic and felt like I couldn’t breathe.
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage - I’ve never actually ridden this ride but considering the small space guests have to sit in, it makes me nervous. I’ve only ever heard bad things about this attraction to be honest so it’s probably a hard no for me. What do you think?
Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run -this one reminded me of my bad experience with Star Tours as a young kid. It’s a tight space and the screen is soooo hard to watch. I got so dizzy. I was given the driver pass once and I failed within the first minute because I couldn’t concentrate on the screen so I switched spots to be the button presser in the back and STILL couldn’t look at the screen. I just stared at the buttons and pressed them when I needed too. lol This is a hard NO for me.
Mark Twain Riverboat - This attraction is hard because it has a lot to look at but I really disliked was that there is noooo seating. My kids and I had to stand the whole time and my kids being ages 4 and 2 did not stay still for ONE BIT. I thought I could have caught a break on here and no, that was not the case. I will say, this attraction has AMAZING lighting for photos so I highly recommend photoshoots on it!
Soarin Over California - This gives me headaches to watch. It’s a cool ride for sure but it just wasn’t for me. I would probably reconsider it.
Golden Zephr - nope. nope. nope. It goes so fast and the entire ride the seat thingy leans to the side and it just doesn’t feel safe. I can’t hahaha
Silly Symphony Swings - this is one of the rides I used to be able to ride before kids because I went on it recently and I got so dizzy. It’s not for me anymore.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind - I’ve never actually ridden this ride so I can’t judge from personal experience but everyone I know says they don’t like it! Even the ones who don’t get motion sickness! I have heard if you face the direction the ride goes, you should be fine but if you go backwards it can make you feel sick. I don’t think I would chance this ride - EVER.
Pixar Pal-A-Round - nope. nope. nope. I already don’t like Ferris Wheels and this is like the Ferris Wheel of death. Some of the gondolas swing when it stops and it is soooo gut wrenching. I can’t. hahaha
Goofy’s Sky School - This is hard because I actually don’t feel motion sickness on this ride, instead, I feel like we’re going to fall out. Every. Single. Time. It’s fun, short, but I do NOT feel safe in it hahaha it whips so hard and not enough to hold you tight in my opinion. hahaha
These are simply my opinion and I hope no one judges my decision to not ride these haha! What do you guys think? Do you agree? Disagree? Even though 11 Rides are a lot, there are still so many we ride when we go to the parks!
We love you guys so much!
